篇章语言学与公共大学英语教学材料的选择

内容摘要

语言教学领域中教材的变化基本上是跟随应用语言学理论的发展而发展，教材发展的基本思路反映了当时语言学界的主流思想。近年来，心理语言学、认知语言学、神经语言学、语篇语言学等领域的研究对教材的评价和选择起着巨大的推动作用。在我国的语言教学领域，已经达成了这样一种共识：语言教学不应只停留在如何教授语言形式(language form)(单词、语法、句子)的层面，而且也应该重视如何使用语言(language use)的层面。篇章语言学就扮演了二者之间转化的角色。篇章语言学研究人们如何在真实的语境中运用语言来实现交际的目的。它关注语言形式与意义的关系、语言的使用与语境的关系、语言使用者之间的互相关系以及语言文化和意识形态的关系。教材作为知识的载体是课堂教学重要的组成部分。在学生学习语言的过程中，如果能将篇章语言学的理论体现并贯彻到教材中，那将更好地帮助学生学习语言，达到真正灵活运用语言的目的。所以，这就要求教师要熟练掌握并运用篇章语言中的理论，为学生选择更加合适的语言教材。本文将介绍并讨论篇章语言学中的四个理论(语境理论，衔接与连贯理论，图示理论和篇章类型理论)及其在教学材料中的运用。语境理论：重点介绍韩礼德的“语域理论”。语域指的是根据用途区分不同的语言：语域理论将情景语境分为三种主要类型。语篇场(field of discourse)主要介绍发生的事情；语篇基调(tenor of discourse)指参加者的身份以及他们之间的关系；语篇方式(mode of discourse)指语言在具体语境里起的作用，采用什么样的体裁，通过什么渠道交流。任何语言交际事件都是在情景语境中进行选择，也就是说，在
