2006年改革前后大学英语四级测试阅读对比研究

内容摘要

CET-4(大学英语四级考试)是一项把英语作为外语的测试,主要面向中国在校非英语专业大学生,旨在保证大学英语教学大纲的实施。阅读测试是其重要的组成部分。作为一项标准参照水平测试,它应该全面反映大学英语教学大纲和考试规范的要求。2006年CET-4经历了重大变革。本论文拟对比变革前后的大学英语四级考试的阅读部分,试图对非专业大学英语阅读测试有所洞察。研究从以下两方面展开：首先,根据巴克曼和帕默提出的考试任务特点框架(Bachman and Palmer 1996:49),从情景语境,考试规则,输入语篇,预期回答等方面,对大学英语四级考试(2005-2007)的阅读部分进行考察;然后比较它们和考试大纲和考试规范的一致程度。根据以上对新旧大学英语四级考试阅读任务特点和考试大纲、考试规范的一致程度的对比分析,作者认为,改革后的大学英语四级阅读测试在考生资格认定、分数评定、和阅读技能覆盖面上更全面和准确地反映了《大学英语课程教学要求》(2004)和《全国大学英语四、六级考试改革方案(试行)》(2005)的要求；但是在输入语篇呈现方式、快速阅读速度、语篇体裁和预期回答等方面,要考察在校非英语专业大学生的阅读能力仍不尽人意。为解决以上问题,作者建议大学英语四级测试的阅读部分应该包括多样化的语篇体裁,呈现方式和阅读任务,更全面地体现教学大纲和考试规范的要求,最大化大学英语四级测试的使用性。
