以副语言信息为中心的口译中非语言信息的研究

内容摘要

交际中的非语言因素在其他跨学科领域已受到广泛重视,但在口译学科中仍未出现系统的研究。实际上,非语言因素如身势语和副语言等在口译的理解,记忆和输出过程中起到举足轻重的作用。国内外诸多口译研究学者如Gile,Gerver,刘宓庆等都曾在著作中分析过非语言因素在口译中的重要性,并明确表明译员在翻译时由两种渠道接收非语言信息—视觉和听觉。视觉主要接收的是行为信息,听觉接收的是副语言信息。值得一提的是,由于口译场合这一因素的制约,行为信息的传译几率较低,这是因为一方面,在大多数交替传译中行为信息可以在交流双方中通过视觉直接传递,译员则无需过多模仿。另一方面,在同声传译时译员也会因为工作环境的特殊性无法直接接收或传递行为信息。这一特殊性决定了副语言信息对译员信息理解和传译作用更为突出。本文作者通过参阅资料发现口译学者们对口译中非语言因素的研究大部分停留在理论阶段,而关于具体介绍如何理解,传输非语言信息,尤其是副语言信息的文献则是少之又少。在本文中,作者从非语言信息与口译的关系出发,强调非语言因素在口译各阶段的重要性,然后通过举例对非语言因素,尤其是副语言因素如语音修饰、发声间隔和嗓音特征表露等在口译中的具体传译方法进行初步探讨。此外,作者总结了非语言因素可能对译员造成的理解和传输困难,并提出相关建议帮助译员消除这些障碍,从而提高口译质量。
