高一学生英语词汇学习中认知策略使用的实证研究

内容摘要

2002年普通高中《英语课程标准》的颁布对高中生提出了更高的要求,词汇教学变成了教学中的主要问题。教学生词汇不如教他们如何有效地使用词汇学习策略。因此,英语词汇策略就成了一个值得探讨的问题。本研究旨在研究以下四个问题：1)高一学生总体词汇观念是怎样的? 2)高一学生常用的词汇认知策略有哪些? 3)高一英语学习成功者和不成功者在使用词汇认知策略上有没有差异? 4)通过策略意识训练,英语学习不成功者能否提高学习单词的能力?68个高一学生参加了本次研究。在这68个学生中,10个词汇水平高的学生被选为英语学习成功者；10个词汇水平低的学生被选为英语学习不成功者。在10个词汇水平低的学生中,随机抽样一名学生做个案研究。本研究通过运用问卷,词汇水平测试,日记,以及单词听写得出数据和结果。本研究结果显示：1)大多数学生认为词汇应该是通过上下文或者在使用中学习。2)高中生常用的词汇认知策略是推断,做笔记,重新组合,以及使用参考资料。3)英语学习成功者和不成功在使用相同的词汇认知策略上没有显著差异。4)参加个案研究的学生通过40天(11月1日至12月10日)的策略意识训练提高了学习单词的能力。
