目的论角度的计算机教材翻译研究

信息时代计算机技术的飞速发展给高校计算机相关专业注入了不少活力，为了让这些专业的学生学到国际上最先进的计算机相关技术和知识，越来越多的计算机相关教材被引入大学课堂。这种引进主要分为两种形式，一种是直接引进影印原版教材，另一种则是推出计算机教材的汉译本。对于英文的掌握度还没有成熟到可以快速而精准地吸收国外成果的大学生来说，虽然他们阅读原版教材的问题或许不大，但阅读汉译本效率更高。因此，计算机教材汉译本也占据了很大一部分市场。传统上，翻译与文学的关系更近。说起翻译，人们首先想到的是“文笔要好”。然而对于计算机相关教材的翻译来说，文笔好似乎远远不够。那到底具备什么样条件的人才能够做好计算机教材翻译，如何在具体的翻译实践中做到最好呢？本文试图运用德国功能翻译理论中的目的论来研究计算机教材翻译这一具有目的性的翻译行为。目的论认为，翻译的成功与否取决于翻译的目的是否达到，即是否实现了目标文本的功能。翻译计算机教材的最终目的是把国外先进的计算机知识传递给国内的在校计算机相关专业的大学生，让他们更快更好地理解书中的科技知识并得到吸收。为了实现这一目的，需要参与到翻译环节的各方的通力合作，包括出版社发起翻译活动，挑选符合条件的译者，与译者沟通翻译目的或所需翻译的教材所要实现的功能，在具体翻译过程中，译者之间如何合作和沟通，译者在翻译方法上如何改进以提高计算机教材的翻译质量等。本研究的特点在于它并非只是以某本计算机教材汉译本为研究对象，而是从出版社、教材译者、教材使用者的多重视角来审视计算机教材翻译。本文着眼于目的论对计算机教材翻译的指导意义，通过研究计算机教材翻译的各个环节，揭示计算机教材翻译现状及其存在的问题，提出解决问题、改善翻译质量的可行方法，对提高引进教材翻译质量具有启示意义。
