从接受理论视角看英汉双语词典的例证翻译

内容摘要
双语词典相对单语词典而言,其本质特征是对译,即两套符号的对应,因此它也通常被称为翻译词典。英汉双语词典中的翻译主要包括词目翻译和例证翻译。词目和例证翻译的方法和策略各不相同。翻译的质量直接影响和决定英汉双语词典的质量,但是,目前例证翻译还存在一些问题。例证是双语词典的重要组成部分,例证可以更好地帮助学习者理解词目的意义,提供词汇的语义、语法、语用,甚至文化信息。在例证翻译中,例证译文不但要最大限度地重现源语例证所具的有功能,还要符合汉语的表达习惯,体现出英汉语言差异,有效地指导翻译。目前,大多数例证翻译研究以仍例证文本为中心,这限制了例证翻译研究的进一步发展。本文首先总结了例证的功能和例证的翻译功能,并将例证翻译与文学翻译作比较,探讨了例证翻译不同于其他文本翻译的特点。本文接着引入接受理,从接受理论的视角研究英汉双语的例证翻译。本文旨在将例证的翻译研究视角转移到词典接受者词典用户的上,在例证翻译中本文更加注重词典用户的地位和需求。通过词典用户接受效果的研究,本文就如何提高英汉双语词典的例证翻译质量提出建议,以期对例证的翻译研究有所启示。
