词汇触发理论视角下的关于中国英语学习者AS一词使用特点的语料库研究

内容摘要

AS是一个在英语写作与日常交流中的常用词汇,AS可以用作从属连词引导时间,原因,和让步状语从句,又可以用作副词,常被用于AS...AS...这一句型中。除此之外, AS还有介词的词性,后接名词或名词短语。由于AS一词的词性多样,句法结构也很复杂,作者认为有必要对它进行全面细致的研究。本文应用Hoey提出的词汇触发理论对中国英语学习者语料库(CLEC)中的AS一词展开研究,作者按照AS的3个词性进行检索,并对连词AS,副词AS和介词AS的高频类连结与高频搭配进行总结,与英语国家语料库(BNC)中的数据进行对比,进而对中国英语学习者AS一词的词汇触发特点进行描述,调查发现中国学生对该词的触发模式不同于英语本族人。英国国家语料库(BNC)显示,与中国学生相比,英语本族人使用该词更为频繁,且在语义搭配、语法建构和语用功能等方面表现出较大的自由度和多样性。
