英语拒绝言语行为研究

内容摘要

拒绝言语行为是人类在生活交往中经常遇到的一种言语行为,是针对对方的请求、邀请、建议或提供之后,说话人所做出的一种“不合作性”选择。拒绝也被诸多学者定义为对话中“不期待的第二部分”。布朗和列文森把拒绝言语行为划分为明显的面子威胁行为的种类,因此它的交际策略使用得恰当与否直接影响到交际能否顺利进行以及交际双方关系能否顺利发展。本文对英语拒绝言语行为进行了系统研究,细致阐述了英语拒绝言语行为的特点、分类以及影响因素。影响拒绝言语行为的因素是语境,随着语境的改变,拒绝言语行为的表达方式和交际策略也会不断变化。在选择拒绝言语行为遵循的语用原则时,本文采纳了索振宇的得体原则。在得体原则的指导下,本文总结出了直接拒绝策略和间接拒绝策略。根据得体原则和拒绝言语行为的交际策略,以访谈和电视剧中的拒绝语为语料进行分析,并对其进行归纳总结。本文的研究对跨文化交际和英语教学有一定指导作用,让学生在日常生活中,针对不同的语境能更地道的拒绝他人的请求、邀请、建议和提供,从而达到顺利交际的目的。作者希望本文能对今后将要进行拒绝言语行为研究的学者有一定的参考价值。
