内容摘要


诗歌作为一种古老的文学体裁,语言高度凝练,其翻译之难为译界共识。在诗歌翻译史上,针对诗歌翻译标准,国内外众多翻译家从不同角度提出了各种论说,可谓仁者见仁,智者见智。本研究旨在尝试区分这些异人异译的外在区别,揭示它们使读者产生不同遐想的语言表层原因,从而为诗歌翻译实践提供明确的、可把握的依据。在梳理总结诗歌翻译标准的发展历程后,本研究采用语料库的研究方法,利用计算语言学技术对唐诗英译本的文本特征、对等翻译程度和翻译相似性进行计算以获得相关数据,并将所得数据对比分析,探索此类文本的外部特征与其翻译标准的联系,以期为诗歌翻译和教学研究提供新的视角和探索性启示。本研究的主要贡献在于:1)对诗歌翻译标准进行了历时性的归纳研究,并发现诗歌翻译标准研究在方法论上经历了从单一点评式和感悟式的定性归纳到结合多学科特点的定性和定量分析相结合的过程;2)把语料库的研究方法和计算语言学的技术应用到诗歌翻译的研究中,将定性和定量分析相结合,是本文突破所在,以期为后来研究提供方法的借鉴;3)在统计学的基础上进行归纳分析,研究发现著名翻译家们所提出的翻译标准在不同程度上与具体数据所代表和反映的事实相吻合,呈现了很强的关联度,同时这也证实了本研究方法的可信度。在诗歌翻译研究中结合定性分析和定量计算方面,本研究是一次大胆的尝试,为以后的诗歌翻译研究乃至翻译质量评价提供了一个崭新的探索性视角。
