语篇分析在进口家电产品说明书翻译中的运用

内容摘要

自中国加入世贸组织以来,国内市场逐步开发,众多国外家电产品进入中国市场。为了能够占据市场,吸引消费者,产品说明书作为产品的附件也引起了人们的关注。而说明书译文的质量问题就成了关注的焦点。译文准确、详实、清晰的说明书不仅可以使消费者了解产品的使用方法,减少不必要的麻烦,还能够增加消费者对产品的兴趣,提升企业形象。在国内,涉及说明书翻译的研究较少,仅在研究科技英语翻译时有所提及。而且这些研究多以介绍翻译方法为主,缺乏理论知识和整体性。而且作为一种实用文体,说明书有其自身的特点,因此应该深入系统的研究说明书的翻译。本文尝试以语篇分析的理论框架为基础,从语篇功能的角度进行分析,探讨家电产品说明书的翻译。通过对家电产品说明书的分析,作者讨论了家电产品说明书的四种功能：信息功能,指示功能,美学功能和成篇功能。本文首先分析了家电产品说明书的信息功能,指示功能和美学功能,接着探讨家电产品说明书的成篇功能。成篇功能是实现其它语篇功能并保证语篇连贯流畅的基础。作者对收集的资料进行归纳总结,分析了家电说明书的中主位推进模式的特征。根据语篇分析理论,结合说明书的语言特点,作者选择了“功能对等法”作为说明书的翻译策略,并探讨了说明书的翻译方法。
