英语专业学生短语学习中磨蚀现象的研究

内容摘要

语言磨蚀,简称语蚀,即语言习得的逆过程,是指双语或多语使用者,由于某种语言使用的减少或停止,其运用该语言的能力会随着时间的推移而逐渐减退的现象。本研究旨在探明被试者在经过高考之后将近三个月的暑假之后在英语短语习得方面有没有发生磨蚀现象。为保证研究的可行性和有效性,本文作者在整理回顾国内外外语磨蚀的实证和理论研究的基础上,在青岛科技大学英语专业大一学生中随机选择了60人参加实证研究,包括参加问卷调查与短语测试。主要研究问题包括：(1)在经过三个月的假期之后,二语语言磨蚀现象是否存在。(2)特定类型的短语是否更易于被磨蚀?(3)在汉语背景下“倒置相关”理论是否应用于英语短语磨蚀研究?(4)在假期前后,关于英语的社会活动与动机水平之间又无任何不同?在经过测试与问卷调查收集而来的数据都通过平均数,方差计算进行进一步分析,得出与研究问题相对应的研究结论：(1)在英语专业大一学生当中存在语言磨蚀现象。(2)在不同语境中习得的短语,比喻意义的短语和合成短语的学习中要比一般意义的短语更易于磨蚀。(3)语言的习得水平与该语言的磨蚀程度成反比；即：语言习得水平越高,语言磨蚀程度越低。(4)在假期前与假期中比较,关于英语的社会活动的频率与动机水平之间存在不同。学习者的动机与学习者的外语习得水平成正比。最后,基于“教育经济”理论教师和学生都应该在教学过程中采取一定的措施来抑制磨蚀现象的产生。较低程度的语言磨蚀能使语言习得者保持更高的语言技能。
