面部彩绘艺术的视觉语言：一项基于隐喻认知视角的研究

内容摘要

本文尝试以认知语言学的隐喻理论和符号学为基础来分析面部彩绘艺术中视觉符号的功能和意义，阐释其认知构成和认知机制，并探讨与其有关的跨文化交际问题。基于Lakoff&Johnson的概念隐喻理论和Fauconnier&Turner的概念合成理论，以及符号学中Peirce有关符号的划分方法，本文探讨了在面部彩绘艺术中存在着的三种隐喻，即象征隐喻，拟像隐喻和指示隐喻，并通过此三种隐喻，对面部彩绘艺术的有关例证分别作了详细的解析，分析得出面部彩绘艺术主要表现人物的性格、品格和社会地位以及情感状态。在表现抽象的社会属性时，面部彩绘艺术主要借助了色彩隐喻和空间隐喻，体现为色彩和情感之间，以及空间（主要是上下方位）、线条和情感之间的映射；而在表现人物的性格和品格时，除了具有象征隐喻的作用外，往往也会借助与历史人物息息相关的指示或拟像符号。一般来说，一个面部彩绘不单单会用到拟像隐喻、指示隐喻和象征隐喻的一种，而往往是三种隐喻综合作用的结果，复杂的脸谱中糅合了多种隐喻的作用。分析主要以京剧面谱，万圣节面部彩绘以及一些时尚化妆艺术为例证，探究其具体的认知结构，认知机制或认知理据，以期望对面部彩绘艺术的运用和理解提出新的认知角度的见解。最后，基于上述研究成果，本文结合Sperber&Wilson的关联理论，对与面部彩绘艺术有关的跨文化交流问题提出了基本的认识。本项研究初步揭示了面部彩绘艺术背后的认知理据、认知结构和认知机制，对面部彩绘艺术的欣赏、交流和有关教学具有参考价值。
