内容摘要

本文采用的人称代词的概念包括了以下分类:第一人称、第二人称、第三人称,及其相应的物主代词形式和反身代词形式。英语中人称代词是最常见、使用最频繁的词类之一,具有人际功能,并且对英语篇章的衔接和连贯都有着重要的作用。但由于不同的思维模式和历史原因,英汉两种语言在人称代词的使用上有很大差异,作为以汉语为母语的英语学习者和使用者,使用英语时必然会在一定程度上受到母语影响,导致“中国英语”和英语源语中人称代词使用频率与分布的不同。本文采用基于可比语料与平行语料的研究方法,通过英-英,汉-英双向对比研究,客观总结英语译文和英语源语中人称代词使用频率和分布上的不同,并对产生这些不同的原因进行深入分析,发掘汉英翻译对“中国英语”特征的直接和间接影响,从而进一步总结汉英翻译普遍性特征(亦即本土化特征)。所选语料包括: 1)国家党政领导人重要讲话、党代会和人代会文件及政府工作报告及其英译, 2)外国官员重要讲话及政治文献英文。研究语料容量约200万字词,其中英文翻译语料及原英文可比语料字数约120多万词,中文原文约80万字。该论文旨在说明在政治文献这一文体中,人称代词在英语译文与英语原文中的使用是不同的,而汉英翻译的特征对中国英语的发展有着直接或间接的影响,因此英语的本土化特征必须得到重视。该研究既有利于深化翻译研究本身,又对中国英语教育及“中国英语”的发展有直接参考价值。
