中国英语学习者道歉策略语用迁移的DCT研究

内容摘要

对言语行为的研究一直是语用学，尤其是语际语用学研究的热点之一，这其中也包括对道歉言语行为的研究。本文在语际语用学及道歉言语行为的理论框架下，以两组不同语言水平的中国大学英语专业学生为研究对象，考察他们如何实施道歉言语行为及其在道歉策略中的语用迁移，并将他们与英语本族语者和汉语本族语者进行比较。研究数据来源于四组研究对象对两类问卷调查的回答。一类问卷是包含了八种道歉情景的语篇补全测试(DCT)问卷；另一类问卷调查涉及评价道歉中的社会距离、社会权力、冒犯的严重程度及道歉的必要性。文章通过卡方检验探讨了两组语言水平不同的中国英语学习者与操英语为本族语者及操汉语为本族语者在道歉策略上体现出的语用差异。同时对社会语用因素，即：社会距离、社会权力、冒犯的严重程度及道歉的必要性几方面对道歉策略选择的影响也通过斯皮尔曼相关系数进行了检验。结果表明，四组研究对象道歉策略的使用既有相同之处又有不同之处。相同之处在于：“明晰的表达道歉(using IFIDs)”及“承担责任(taking on responsibility)”两种策略的使用频率最高，“保证(promising forbearance)”的使用频率最低。不同之处在于：其它几种策略，即解释(making an explanation or account)、补偿(offering repair)、轻化冒犯程度(minimizing the degree of offence)及对听话者表示关心(expressing concern for the hearer)，更依赖于道歉情景。结果同样表明，中国英语学习者在道歉言语行为中确实存在语用迁移。这些迁移并没有随着学习者语言水平的提高而消
